The 2005 FHS Annual Meeting was held in Minneapolis, MN on July 26-29. Five students attended the meeting this year, including Deborah Cartwright (University of Georgia), John Drennan (University of Idaho), Rachelle Kosoff (Cornell University), Tanuja Upadhyaya (Jawaharlal Nehru University), and Nicole’ White (Northern Michigan University).

The 2005 Snieszko Student Travel Awards were presented to Deborah Cartwright and Tanuja Upadhyaya to help cover travel costs associated with attending the meeting to present a paper.

The recipient of the 2005 Best Student Paper Award was Deborah Cartwright for her presentation entitled, "Preliminary Study On The Identification of Bothriocephalus acheilognathi Using Species Specific Primers".
