Excellence In Fisheries Science Award

This year’s winner of the Excellence in Fisheries Science Award is Edward Braun. Ed has worked for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources since 1970, and has been the District 4 Biologist since 1977. During his time with the division he has trained many assistants as well as students, and has worked selflessly for the improvement and protection of Indiana’s aquatic resources. Ed is a charter member of Indiana’s Chapter of the American Fisheries Society where he has served as president and chair of numerous committees. He has also served on the North Central Division’s Esocid and Centrarchid Technical Committees as both the Indiana chapter representative and chair. His willingness to serve the chapter and the division is a shining example of what it takes to make an organization successful.
