Most Active Organization in Indiana Fisheries Award

This year’s winner of the Most Active Organization in Indiana Fisheries Award is the Michiana Walleye Association. This group is very active in the northern part of the state and is a member of Go FishIN. They sponsor activities such as field trips for area schools, fishing derbies, Cub Scout fishing outings, and help with Big Brother – Big Sister Programs. This group also works closely with the City of Elkhart and the DNR, and helped raise $5,000 for the St. Joseph River walleye stocking program in 2008.
