Minutes- Spring Technical Meeting, 03/22/02

I. President Bob Ross called the meeting to order at 7:00PM.� The meeting was held at the Mansfield University Student Center, Mansfield, PA.

II. There were 42 members present, including 8 new student members (13 students total).

III. In lieu of a formal meeting, President Ross made announcements on chapter activities and plans.

IV. A raffle was held to give away memberships to the parent society and a chapter hat.� Jennifer Means won a professional membership and Aaron Goar won a student membership.� Caleb Tsilkowski won the chapter hat.

V. A 50/50 drawing was held to benefit the National Depressive and Manic-Depressive Association.� Mike Ruhl won $35 and $36 will go to the NDMDA, along with $100 from the chapter and $10 donated by members.

VI. The technical part of the meeting included three presentations on the theme of aquatic nuisance species.

A. Chuck Murray, PFBC, Lake Erie:� Aquatic Nuisance Species in Lake Erie:� The Pennsylvania Perspective.

B. Tim Sinnott, NY DEC, ANS Coordinator:� Aquatic Nuisance Management in New York.

C. Sandra Keppner, USFWS, ANS Coordinator, Amherst, NY:� Federal Perspectives on Aquatic Nuisance Species.
